A new weight room is in store for Orient-Macksburg Schools. Superintendent Doug Latham says the new facility will be a huge improvement from what the school currently has.

“This is my first year at Orient-Macksburg and Prescott, and one of the things I've noticed there at the Orient-Macksburg school is the weight room's located off the old gym down in the basement area,” Latham tells Creston Radio News. “The room's only about 20 (feet) by 20 (feet). It's very cramped, and we've got a lot of heat pipes running through that area. It's just not the most conducive area for weight training.”
